Lucca
|
Our basic-product is a one-week self-guided bike holiday, starting and ending in the interesting medieval town of Lucca, which among others is known for its ancient city walls. From back in time, the walls have been an important factor to protect the old town centre.

Pisa
|
Today, people enjoy life on the combined cycle- and pedestrian-path, that runs on top of the walls all five kilometres around the old town. Some of our guests start the week by testing the bike and their legs on this charming prologue.
On the routes in the Lucca area, you can visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa – one of many places where you will have splendid views over the Mediterranean Sea.

| True Italian cappucino

Don't forget to observe and enjoy the Italian lifestyle having a Cappuccino on one of the many bars along the route.
In the middle of the week, you will spend three days about 60 km's east of Lucca around Leonardo Da Vinci's hometown: Vinci. You can either stay three nights out here, in a Farm-holiday accommodation: "agriturismo" or in a 3 star Hotel.

Chianti red wine
|
The area around Vinci has some stunning views and is situated in the middle of Chianti vineyards, olive groves and beautiful country roads.
For families with children we recommend to choose this tour, only for children +12 years due to bike-sizes and tour distances.
Daily bike tours the whole week are between 20 and 60 km's. Only two days from Lucca to Vinci and back, are to be completed on the bike. The other routes described in the material you receive, can be considered as extras if you feel like a bit more!

region. You even have the possibility, simply to stop on your bike trip and enjoy a typical Tuscan meal including a local wine, before finishing your ride.

You can also choose to stay 3 nights, in the middle of the week, only 10 kilometres away from Lucca and still feel like being at the country. We have chosen a wonderfull hotel situated in the lovely hills North of Lucca, in order to offer some of our travellers a Basic Tour with shorter riding distances. As an extra appetizer to choose this tour, we have agreed with the hotel that cooking courses can be organized, when you are a group of minimum 6 persons.
